Scholarship Program

Committed to watching our young members excel to higher education!

Committed to seeing our community and youth within that community thrive each year, Excel FCU awards $1,000 scholarship opportunities to three graduating high school students who demonstrate excellence in academics and/or creativity as well as extracurricular, philanthropic, and community involvement activities.

Graduating seniors planning to attend an accredited college or university in the fall of 2025 are encouraged to apply after January 1, 2025 as this year’s application process opens to new applicants. All applications must be fully complete before submission and must include a You Tube link of a video prepared by the applicant to demonstrate their creativity and thoughtful energy in the video essay portion of the application. Relative to Excel’s dedication to the communities we serve we ask that this year applicants answer this multi-faceted question as the video portion of their submission: What does community mean to you? How have you invested in community to this point? What plans do you envision to invest in community during your educational pursuits and as you begin your life journey post-graduation from college?

Applications will open January 1, 2025 and submissions will be accepted no later than midnight May 1, 2025. Recipients of the scholarships will be notified no later than May 30, 2025 and scholarship monies will be arranged directly with the colleges being attended.
